Quality Supervisor

Weinbrenner Shoe Company is searching for a qualified Quality Supervisor to address quality of our Thorogood brand footwear from the initial receipt, through final resolution, tracking, and cost assessment.
This requires close work with many departments and vendors.
To excel in this role, candidates must be highly organized with excellent communication skills and have natural motivation, positive attitude/aptitude and an outstanding attention to detail.
The Quality Supervisor is responsible for establishing parameters for the inspection and identification of footwear related quality issues under the Weinbrenner Shoe Co.
Quality Program.
The following essential duties and responsibilities will support Weinbrenner core values:
Supervision of Quality Monitors in all WSC locations.
Conduction of regular visits to all WSC factories to ensure quality standards are met and to guide Quality Monitors.
Addressing of employee matters, working closely with the Quality Manager and HR Department.
Detailing inspection requirements of product based on current and historical quality concerns.
Ensuring quality lab verification testing is performed timely and accurately, and test reports are distributed and filed as needed.
Coordinating test requirements and shipment release of imported footwear product.
Performing quality inspections on new styles, per established National, Weinbrenner, or customer specified standards to ensure quality levels and provide initial acceptance.
Working closely with production leadership to ensure WSC Quality Standards are satisfied.
Coordinating external and performs internal calibrations of measurement equipment as required by ISO standards.
Assumes responsibility for Weinbrenner's Corrective/Preventive Action (CAPA) program.
Lead regular CAPA review meetings, working with other WSC personnel to drive meaningful results.
Developing and publishes quality standards to define acceptable footwear.
Coordinates preparation and shipments for third-party testing of all footwear as required by ASTM, National, and customer supplied quality standards.
Coordinates the ISO Internal Audit program.
Assists the Quality Manager with maintaining ISO compliance, and other ISO duties as assigned Well qualified applicants should possess the following
Qualifications:
2-4 year degree in a field related to Quality Assurance or equivalent experience working within an ISO based quality system.
Quality related certifications is a plus.
Root cause analysis.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint programs.
Ability to read and comprehend various measuring tools and equipment.
Above average communication skills.
Mathematical skills; data analysis and statistical aptitude.
Ability to define problems, investigate, and collect data.
Ability to establish the difference between facts and opinions and draw valid conclusions.
Above average organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Effective time management skills.
Ability to motivate team members to bring forth a desired behavior or response from team members.
Experience in planning processes; identifying and setting achievable goals, developing strategies, and outlining tasks and schedules.
