This position will provide overall direction and guidance for warehouse, inventory control, and transportation teams, stressing accountability and accuracy.
Your objective will be to delight our customers through superior delivery service and other fulfillment in a safe and efficient environment.
You will create and maintain a positive work environment for the teams while also working closely with the cross-functional teams to develop balanced solutions to customers, operating cost, and other challenges and opportunities.

II.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITES A) Effectively plan, coordinate, manage and control all aspects of warehouse operations, Inventory Control, transportation, buildings, and grounds.
B) Ensure the transportation, warehouse, and inventory teams meet and maintain all established safety, sanitation, and environmental regulations.
Establish new internal procedures as needed for compliance.
C) Plan for both long- and short-range staffing needs and requirements.
Ensure driver and warehouse schedules are developed and modified to drive customer satisfaction while minimizing costs, including overtime, and meet all regulatory requirements.
D) Create and maintain an atmosphere in which open communication and teamwork is encouraged and motivates associates to achieve department goals and objectives as well as help identify and provide solutions for problems.
E) Actively work with associates to develop skills and leadership for additional responsibility and provide ongoing and annual performance feedback and reviews.
Provide mentorship and guidance in a positive environment.
F) Deliver exceptional customer service while striving for best-in-class operational efficiency and cost.
Leverage available and recommend additional tools and programs to drive efficiency.
Establish key metrics for performance and effectively measure and monitor metrics to keep on plan.
G) Become the expert on working with the sales team to proactively modify routes for both meeting customer delivery expectations and minimizing distribution costs.
H) Ensure that training for both day-to-day job responsibilities as well as regulatory and safety affairs is planned and conducted.
Develop and implement new training programs as needed.
I) Ensure maintenance of driver qualifications files, evaluations, and DOT files.
J) Investigate all accidents, maintain an accident file, track accident causes and take appropriate preventative action.
K) Oversees the maintenance of the physical condition and cleanliness of the warehouse and its equipment as well as the maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicles, including adherence to any applicable laws and regulations.
Department of agriculture and OSHA warehouse regulations must be understood and inspected with adequate frequency.
L) Perform other duties as assigned.

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIP This position reports to the Company President.
Cooperate with Ops and Trans providers, and with other functional areas, including sales and purchasing, to delight customers and strive for best-in-class operating costs and controls, while maintaining passionate employee morale.
